Gold with a Pinch of Gold

Skirt? Alfred Sung, thrifted (similar here) Turtleneck? h&m Necklaces? Thrifted Shoes? I.D. Browns (similar here) Coat? Thrifted Clutch? Coast (similar here ... a little pricey)

Is it spring yet? It is that time of year where I am sick of the cold  and just want to throw out all my tights. As much as I like this outfit, it's time to say good-bye to winter with a tights-burning party. Play some loud music, drink a few beers and light a city by-law breaking bonfire in our backyard...
Instead I am going to channel all that angry energy into something productive. I am planning on teaching my cats to line up in alphabetical order when I snap my fingers. Maybe I will take a video of this amazing feat and it will go viral. You are looking at the next YouTube star... or the biggest whiner about tights. That latter option is more likely.

Dear Canadian Sister,

I don't know if you know but since we aren't signing actual adoption papers or spit swearing to be offical sisters...it's come to my attention that there is an alternative to seal the deal.

In Texas, the "taller" adopted sister must bring something to the "younger" adopted sister...think if it as a dowry.

In this case...to make it easier for you...I have decided on that EFFING necklace you are wearing in this post! The long gold one that kinda looks like an "afro" pick...but better.

Yes...that shall be it. Bring it with you to Austin and then we will officially be sisters.

(There is no rule it seems about the shorter sister bringing the bigger sister anything...I'll keep looking for loopholes though:)

I'm totally with you. I'm so sick of all my winter clothes! Plus there's this awful guilt that comes with whining this year, since it was such a mild winter. Do you find that too? Bleh.

Oh, that SKIRT. I adore it. You look lovely. And yes, I'm ready for spring now. Or at least less wind in Colorado.

I literally woke up this morning, rolled over, looked at my boyfriend and said "all I want to do is put on a sundress and walk out the door". Winter NEEDS to be over. Now.

Good luck with the kitties.

I cannot wait to see that YouTube video. Or burn my tights. I feel like I haven't seen my legs in months. I love your gold on gold on gold look here. Keep your chin up. We'll get to the other side of this cold monstrosity.

Oddly enough, your cats in alphabetical order is the same order in which you got them. Betchya didn't think about that.

Amazing outfit! I love the skirt. The necklace is awesome too, but I tend to wear skirts more often than necklaces. After all, it's not illegal for me to have a bare neck.

I love tights! The only thing I'm happy about in my country's rapid decline into winter (Southern Hemisphere, boo) is that I can wear tights again. Not that I had a warm enough summer to go barelegged very often!

I love this look! I've been feeling the same about tights. Is it sad if I checked the weather report and when I saw it was going to be 63 degrees on Wednesday here in Ohio that I planned an outfit that involves a knee-length skirt and tall riding boots with NO tights underneath? :)
