This Week I Thrifted...

thriftfind2
Dress? I.B. Diffusion, thrifted Necklaces? Antique market

What? Wool/Acrylic blend dress
Where? Value Village (yeah... I keep going back...)
How much? $4
Why? I thrifted this dress recently on a quick trip to Value Village. I had done a fast scan of my favourite areas and I was about to try on a dress, when I saw a really stylish girl coming out of the change room. I saw her put stuff back on the return rack and I knew I had to check her rejects. The minute she was out of sight, I totally bee-lined it to her section of returns and found a veritable thrift gold mine. I bought this dress, a leather skirt and cape/vest thingy just from what she left behind. How's that for a thrift tip? Follow people whose style you admire (at a respectable distance, you creep...) and wait for their left-overs...

It's a great dress! I've done the very thing you did, but hey, I thought this was a TOP SECRET strategy!

I do this same thing! And I check return racks first -- that's how I found my DvF wrap dress.

I haven't thrifted anything this week!! Isn't that the saddest!! But last week I came away from the thrift store with a couple of dresses new with tags, a Jcrew skirt (new) and a Ralph Lauren skirt (new) and all for $20!! That made my day.

Wow, I love this dress and necklace! I thrifted 5 summer dresses in 20 mins. I posted about them earlier this week. Come take a look if you want.

I am still snickering to myself about your cute thrift tip!!!! :) I went twice this week. and scored some slouchy hats, a striped cardigan, dress, skirt (ruffly one that is too big but I plan to fix) and the best ever...a mustard colored sweater jacket! Yowza!

I can't stay away from Value Village, either. I found some insane 60s dresses that I have no clue when or where I can even wear them. But they're amazing in their 60s-ness.

Hi! I just got back form New York City, and half the stuff I picked up was thrifted. Have a look, what do you think?

I'm SO the stalker in the thrift store too, but it pays off! Although last week I got caught. I must say it was quite embarrassing, but the woman happily handed me a few things that I took home with me! Score...embarrassing or not!

Totally guilty of doing that too :) I always look forward to seeing your thrifted goodies!

Ha that's a great tip. Love this dress! This week I thrifted 3 clutches, a vintage rhinestone necklace set, and another pair of Minnetonka boots. I love to get my DIY materials from the thirft store. Sometimes my projects don't work out as I planned and then I didn't put to much money into them.
