Skirt? Thrifted Shirt? Thrifted Shoes? Jeffrey Campbell via a giftcard I won Cuffs? Auction Purse? Thrifted

I am fighting the urge to ramble on uncontrolled about how much I love this outfit. I got the silk shirt for two dollars and the wool skirt for five dollars and I felt like a million dollars. That's the magic of mathematics at a thrift store.

And while mathematics is my strong point at the thrift store, it was my downfall at the auction I got these cuffs at. I forgot that you are bidding to set a price for each item, so I smugly thought I scored both of these cuffs for $20 but it turns out I had to pay $20 for each cuff. I kept my face free from disappointment though, didn't want the people to see my newbie status at the auction...

Have I told you how much I love this outfit? Oh, I have? My apologies.

Ouch, that's like two giant bags of clothes at a thrift store. Sorry for the lame comparison, lately I've been addicted to comparing things to thrift store bags. Matt was like, let's grab fast food and I just said, " No way, that's two shirts/1/4 of a thrift store bag. I'd rather shop. I think my addiction is taking over. Help me.

I love this outfit, but those cuffs kill me. LOVE! I'd have cringed about the auction incident myself. Just wear the heck out of 'em!

Call me crazy, but I don't think $20 a pop for those cuffs is outrageous. They're damn awesome.

Man I don't know, those cuffs are worth $40. So unique and beautiful! Your outfit's color combo were my favorite colors from ages 2 to 18. I love it.

Absolutely beautiful outfit. The skirt fits you perfectly and I love the color combination.

$20/cuff is pretty steep, but they really are amazing. I'm sure you'll get a lot of use out of them.

You look GORGEOUS! I love this. I also love the double walk the line photo! Your thrifting skills amaze me to no end. I don't know how to say this without sounding like a judgey jerk, but I love that you break the thrift stereotype when it comes to style... so many girls who are super into thrifting end up looking a bit like little house on the prairie guest stars (I'm sorry, this is so mean) but you show that vintage/thrift can look CURRENT and STYLISH and MODERN, and I love that about you.

those cuffs! totally worth the splurge! thank goodness those bright colored silk tops were so popular in the 80s, so we can all don them now :)

Purple and yellow is one of my favorite color combinations! Today I'm rocking it as well, with a yellow top and vintage purple beaded necklace (the beads look like little eggplants!). They're also going to be the colors of my wedding bouquet...if and when I get a date and place.

You look stunning as always.

I crack up reading yours and Kendi's blogs on the same days, because they are so often the same. Color blocking. "Like" in your title. And you're both wearing clothes and talking about them. Craziness.

This has got to be one of the BEST color blocking ensembles I have ever seen!!! And yes, it is simply amazing how a few well put together thrift store items can having you feeling like a million buck. Overprice...yeah...but still got LOVE the cuffs.
